                                            GENERAL LIABILITY EXPOSURE

The Hospital Risk Management course is designed to aid the Risk Managers in handling liability claims that are presented to the hospital. Students are required to read their assignment and to answer examine questions in the form of an essay. Each student has his/ her own analysis and theories of settling claims and each adjuster will have different answers on their examines.

The course is design to help the student to generate independent thought in analyzing liability.
That independent thought is what reduces liability exposure for the hospital. A Risk Manager must know both sides of the fence when handling liability claims. A Risk Manager must know an attorney’s strengths and weakness when negotiating claims as well as realizing his/ her own strengths and weakness to include hospital staff.

The best way to pass each examine is by the student backing their position by way of quoting case law, segments from their reading assignments, statues, computation and analysis.

The 13-week course is designed to give the student an in-depth view of Hospital Risk Management.
If a student has a question they are encourages to contact their instructor 1 (316) 683-0170.

Please do not guess at an answer. This could lead a student to a dead end road which will prompt the student to do some re-write. Essays must be clear and complete. Leave no room for the instructor to question your answers
